November is here! Now that the creepy props of Halloween are starting to be packed away it is time to focus on more joyous themes: family, thankfulness and food! Mostly food but that’s one of the best parts of Thanksgiving and Christmas! My Halloween was rather boring and felt more like an ordinary day. No trick or treaters came to our door so no dressing up for me. Maybe next year I’ll be in more of Halloween mood. I certainly watched enough horror movies for the month. Mostly classic Universal films (The Wolfman and Dracula being my favorites).
With the temperatures dipping and the precipitation climbing I’m on a baking kick! I made brownies, cheesecake bars, and the tasty muffins you see before you! No, I didn’t make them from scratch this time. I don’t always like to use box mixes but I have no mixers to make anything from scratch… Hopefully Santa will get me a Kitchenaid stand mixer for Christmas. I just have to settle on a color before I give him my list. 😉
We have a new item to the shop! Limited Edition Toasted Marshmallow wax tarts are now available! Sweet, sugary marshmallows meet a roaring fire for the perfect caramelization! Get them while they're hot?! #TheBlackCurrant #Handmade #SmallBusiness #Etsy #LimitedEdition #WaxTarts #Vegan #ToastedMarshmallow
Last weeks latest creation has all the warmth of Autumn and sweets! Toasted Marshmallow wax tarts are now in stock! I’ve already had one of my clamshells go out the door! It’s very exciting to see new products find a home. Tomorrow will feature a new listing! I have 2 wax tarts and a soap left to list. Should I list the soap or another wax tart? Hmmm I wonder… In case you haven’t been able to keep track my current line of new products include Cafe Caramel glycerin soap, Butterscotch Rum Brittle wax tarts, and Snickerdoodle wax tarts.
The one thing that has been keeping me grounded (and on schedule) is my Erin Condren Life Planner. I’m in the midst of planning the Winter Collection sometime this month. First I have to find a nice day to host my photo shoot! I have a few clear days coming up to hopefully squeeze in camera time. I’m going to estimate a release between the 8th and the 21st. In the meantime my new Pink Elephant Planning stickers have arrived! I use them to keep track of important to-dos (like appointments and bills), holidays (Veterans Day is coming up), and dinner plans! It feels good to write down everything on paper. I keep track of the business in my planner as well! I write blog post days, new listings and new orders in my planner to keep me on track and your packages leaving fast! I’ll definitely need the organization as the holiday shopping season picks up! Don’t forget to use promo code CELEBRATE100 to save 10% on your orders! 😉
