Never EVER use canned cranberry sauce for the holiday meals! Nobody will ever touch it again with this simple, easy to follow recipe for cranberry sauce! I first made it last year and it was very well received by my boyfriend and his parents. He asked me a week ago if I’d make it this year. Duh! No canned sauce in this house!
- 4 Cups Cranberries
- 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups Water
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
- 4 Strips of Lemon Zest
- 2 Strips of Orange Zest (Optional)
- Simmer all ingredients over medium heat until cranberries pop and the sauce starts to thicken (about 20 minutes); cool.
- Serve with a delicious Thanksgiving dinner!
- Spend time with friends and family.
